Lani Solano

Lani Solano is the Program Policy Director at Community Coordinated Child Care of Union County and has dedicated over 19 years to serving families through the agency. She began her career working with youth in juvenile detention, where she developed a strong foundation in advocacy, crisis response, and family support. Lani joined CCCC as an Intake Specialist and advanced through multiple leadership roles including Intake Coordinator, Intake Manager, and Policy Manager and Trainer before becoming Program Policy Director. Throughout her career, she has worked extensively across all child care subsidy programs ensuring compliance with state and federal requirements while strengthening service delivery for families and providers.

In addition to overseeing state-funded programs, Lani has managed county grant initiatives designed to bridge gaps between county and state funding in order to expand access to child care for working families. She is actively involved in state-level policy development through the Division of Family Development and contributing to system improvements and policy updates. Lani is passionate about building strong, efficient systems, developing staff through training and mentorship, and improving access to high-quality child care across Union County.
