New Jersey's CCR&Rs have trained staff to provide information to parents, the public, and providers about:

• Availability of child care services provided through the New Jersey's Child Care Subsidy Program and other programs for which the family may be eligible

• Information about the different type of providers

• Financial assistance to obtain child care services

CCR&Rs also:

• Administer the Family Child Care Registration Program and other initiatives designed to improve the quality of child care services;

• Manage the child care subsidy program for: low- to moderate-income working families, families seeking self-sufficiency and participating in Work First New Jersey (WFNJ), children under the supervision of the Department of Children and Families (DCF), children being cared for by relatives (Kinship Care) and children needing child care before/after Department of Education (DOE) preschool services in designated School Districts, and;

• Provide training and technical assistance to child care providers.
