Community Coordinated Child Care of Union County Welcomes New Executive Director

Ellen McHenry, CCCC Board Chair, is pleased to announce Community Coordinated Child Care has appointed nonprofit leader Katia Theodore as Executive Director of the organization beginning August 1, 2023. Ms. Theodore will succeed Pat Mennuti, who is retiring after 33 years as Director. With over 15 years of experience in the social service, education and nonprofit sectors, Katia brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her new role as Executive Director to CCCC. Katia has successfully managed diverse programs throughout her career demonstrating her versatility and adaptability. From working with the elderly population in a foster grandparent program, to serving as a community liaison for individuals with disabilities, she has showcased her exceptional leadership skills and ability to foster positive community relationships. Over the past four years Katia served as Executive Director of a preschool where she not only oversaw daily operations but also paid a pivotal role in program development and maintaining financial stability for the organization. With her strong background, Union County grassroots experience and passion for advocating for children Katia is thrilled to embrace her new responsibilities and contribute to the success and growth of CCCC as the new Executive Director. Ellen McHenry shared, “We are looking forward to Ms. Theodore joining our incredible staff as Executive Director. CCCC is fortunate to have an experienced team committed to our mission and through her leadership we will continue to grow our collaborations and impact on the community”. Ms. Theodore has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Social Work from Kean University and a Master of Arts in Child Advocacy and Welfare Policy from Montclair State University. With her extensive professional background and genuine enthusiasm, Ms. Theodore stated” I am eager to take on the Executive Director role at Community Coordinated Child Care ready to lead the organization towards achieving its goals and supporting the needs of children, families and the Union County Community.”
