About the Role

CCCC is currently seeking a talented and motivated individual to join our finance team as a Bookkeeper


Job Duties

  • Maintain the general ledger and fund accounting system.

  • Aid in the development and implementation of improvements to agency operations

  • Prepare monthly back reconciliation

  • Prepare and compile documentation for 941 reconciliation.

  • Assist in month end closings

  • Monitor postage meter usage

  • Review check requests/ validate expenses, charges and expenses allocations

  • Maintain agency’s fixed assets ledger and inventory for fiscal managers sign off

  • Prepare monthly account analysis

  • Prepare year end audit schedules

  • Liaison with vendors and providers

  • Responsible for timely payments employee pensions, health insurance and withholdings

  • Prepare cash receipts summary for posting to the ledger

  • Prepare cash flow analysis

  • Maintain files supporting all payments for CCCC and NJ DFD audits

  • Comply with requests for payment reports from auditors working for child care providers

  • Provide access to fiscal information and records for DFD staff or other state/federal staff for audits or compliance reviews

  • Document client and provider records

  • Notify DCF, Institutional Abuse Unit, if reasonable cause to believe that a child has been subjected to abuse and or neglect, following CCCC complaint policy reporting procedure

  • Other tasks as assigned


  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field

  • Minimum two years accounting experience

The agency helps the early childhood centers and family child care providers by giving training and other help to improve their programs.
