| In New Jersey, family child care providers can care for up to five children in their home without needing a license. A family child care provider can choose to participate in the state's voluntary registration program to receive training, technical assistance and monitoring visits. Registered providers are included in the CCCC referral system that provides child care referrals to parents in our area. Community Coordinated Child care registers, monitors and trains FCC providers residing in Union County and provides free and confidential referrals to registered providers for parents seeking assistance. If you are interested in becoming a registered family child care provider, you can contact CCCC at 973-923-1433, ext. 147.
Registered providers can participate in the federally-funded Child Care Food Program www.usda.gov administered by CCCC. For more information, visit www.usda.gov or call 973-923-1433, ext.116.
